An Eventful Weekend and Our Two Year Anniversary

This past weekend was super busy. It started with dinner on Friday. Jay's dad came into town from Jefferson City, Missouri and met us for dinner. We wanted to take him to Chef Point Cafe, a fabulous restaurant situated in a gas station. We are planning to have them cater our rehearsal dinner so we wanted Jay's dad to taste their food since he will be paying for the dinner. We had to wait an hour to get a table, which worried us because Jay's dad does not wait for a table. We were afraid the wait time might cloud his judgment of the food. Jay ordered the Beef Lasagna, which is what he wants served at the rehearsal dinner. I ordered Chicken Scampi, and Jay's dad ordered the Chicken Picatta and the Chicken Parmesan, both possible options for the rehearsal dinner. We all thought all four entrees tasted fabulous, even Jay's dad. Dinner was a success, and we have narrowed down our choices for the rehearsal dinner to Beef Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan.

Saturday started bright and early with Jay and I driving to McKinney where Jay teaches guitar lessons to three kids. While Jay taught the lesson I played Scrabble. After he finished, we headed to BJ's in Addison to meet his dad, sisters and brother-in-law for lunch. We shared pork chops and then a Pizookie.  Saturday evening we met our friends, Adam and Hadly, for dinner. We went to Chan's, a Mongolian grill buffet, which is always fantastic. After dinner, we went roller skating at Skate Town in Grapevine. It was a blast!

My best friend's birthday is on March 21, so we celebrated on Sunday with lunch at the House of Blues. I love going to the House of Blues! The food is good, but the atmosphere is awesome. The decor is amazing! I want to take a huge basket and just rip stuff off the walls to decorate my house. I ate chicken quesadillas, which were okay, and sweet potato fries, which are my favorite. They are so delicious. I also tried a few bites of a White Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding. I don't like bread pudding, but this one is amazing. After leaving the House of Blues Jay and I spent some time at Target updating our registry and then we rented Morning Glory. It was a very cute movie.

March 21 is also our anniversary. This year we celebrated two years together. We ate dinner at Red Lobster and then had a snow cone at Bud's. This was our last dating anniversary. In six months we will be married and have a new anniversary to celebrate. I can't wait, I'm so excited!
